About Pinewoods
Pinewoods Camp is located between Long Pond and Round Pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Both ponds are available for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and the occasional aquatic strathspey. Classes and evening dances are held in open-sided pavilions with sprung wooden floors. Campers stay in small, screened cabins and cottages, which are rustic but wired for electricity, and eat family-style in an open-air dining hall overlooking Long Pond. Pinewoods includes modern bath and shower facilities.
All campers help out with a few camp chores throughout their stay, such as sweeping out the dance pavilions or setting tables for dinner. Camp jobs are scheduled to minimally interfere with classes and events.
Pinewoods is located at the end of a long dirt road. Online mapping systems and GPS devices tend to steer campers wrong, or send them down private ways. We ask that you follow Pinewoods Camp's official directions to camp:
We have made an annotated slide show that gives a good feel for the overall camp experience.
